This last metaphor is a bit literal and yet effective. What do you think the message is? Why? Comment and reply to your fellow classmates. The message of this metaphor is, "Treat your body like it is your home," it could have other messages also. This is an example of taking another object and relating it back to the topic - as you know, very difficult. In your comment write your thoughts on why this metaphor is effective? Again, look at the image. 1. What do you see? 2. What do you think the images represent? 3. What is the metaphor's message? Look at VM (visual metaphor) #1. Make a comment. Your comment should include: 1. What are the physical objects present in the visual (what do you SEE)? 2. What do you think those visuals represent (what do you THINK)? 3. If you haven't answered this in the question above, what do you think is the message of the metaphor? Of course, you will naturally read others, but to test your own original and brilliant thinking, don't look at others ideas. For the image below, write and share what you think the MESSAGE is and what the images are supposed to represent.
Visual metaphors are images created with intention.
The creator intends to share their feelings and thoughts by using an image. The idea is usually big, the images they choose have purpose. For the image below, write and share what you think the MESSAGE is and what the images are supposed to represent. |
